How to offer your services on Service Connect

Plumber, cleaner, tutor or something else? Five short steps to put your first service online.

Works in your browser now · iPhone app coming soon to the App Store · Android in testing

What you’ll need

  • A phone or computer. The app works in any browser.
  • An email address or a Google account.
  • Your ID and bank details, so Stripe can pay you.
  • A few photos of your work. Optional, but they help.

Five steps to your first booking

Each one takes a few taps.

  1. Create your account

Free, with email or Google, at app.serviceconnect.ie.

  2. Switch to Provider mode

In the Account tab, turn on the switch.

  3. Set up payments

Accept the terms, then add your ID and bank with Stripe.

  4. Add your service

My services, then Add: title, price, area, photos.

  5. Publish & get booked

Clients message and book you. You’re paid when the job’s done.

More detail on each step
  1. Create your account. Open the app in your browser (iPhone app coming soon, Android in testing). Use your email, and type in the 6-digit code we send, or tap Continue with Google.
  2. Switch to Provider mode. Turn the Client mode switch on in the Account tab. It changes to Provider mode.
  3. Set up payments. The first time, tick I accept the provider terms and tap Continue with Stripe. Stripe asks for your ID and bank details. When it says You’re approved, tap Start offering services. Insurance details are optional, and we don’t check them, so only add true ones. Left half-way? Tap Complete provider setup in the Account tab.
  4. Add your service. Go to Account, My services, Add. Fill in the title, category, description, price and the counties you cover. A cover photo is optional but helps. Add more detail lets you add up to 6 photos and 2 videos.
  5. Publish & get booked. Tap Publish service, or Save as draft to finish later. Clients can then message and book you.

Tips for a great listing

  • Use a clear title

Say the job and the place, like “End of tenancy cleaning – Dublin”.

  • Add real photos of your work

Your own photos, in good light. People trust what they can see.

  • Say what’s included

Materials, how long it takes, what is not covered.

  • Reply quickly

Customers often ask a few providers at once. A fast, friendly answer wins.

Listing and quoting are free. No joining fee, no monthly fee.

  1. The client pays in the app

By card, when you accept the job.

  2. The money is held safely

It stays held until the job is done.

  3. It is released to you

    Straight to your Stripe account.

Questions you might have

Does it cost anything to offer my services?

No. Joining, listing and sending quotes are free. No subscription, no commission on your quote.

Can I use Service Connect on my phone today?

Yes. Open app.serviceconnect.ie in your phone’s browser. The iPhone app is coming soon and Android is in testing. For early access, email support@serviceconnect.ie.

Why does Stripe ask for my ID and bank details?

Stripe is our payment partner. It needs to know who you are and where to send your money. No payouts until this is done.

Do I need insurance?

No, it’s optional. If you have public liability insurance, you can add the insurer and policy number. We don’t check it, so only add true details.

I tapped + and it says “Post a job”. Where do I add my service?
