Frequently asked questions
Do I need to provide cleaning products?
It varies by cleaner. Some bring their own supplies and equipment, others ask you to provide them. Check the provider's profile or ask through in-app messaging before you book.
Can I book a regular cleaner, not just a one-off?
Yes. Mention in your job post that you're looking for an ongoing arrangement, and agree the schedule directly with the cleaner once you've booked.
How are cleaners vetted?
Cleaners verify their identity through Stripe before they can respond to jobs on Service Connect, with a government-issued ID, their address and their bank details, and they declare whether they hold public liability insurance. Reviews can only be left by customers who completed a booking with them, so the track record on their profile is real.
What does Service Connect charge?
Posting a job and comparing quotes is free. Service Connect adds a small buyer protection fee when you book, shown before you confirm, and the whole payment is refunded if the booking is cancelled before work starts.
