Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage the Service Connect website at serviceconnect.ie uses, why, and how you can control them. It covers the website only. How the Service Connect mobile app handles your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember something about you between pages or visits. Browsers also offer "local storage", which works in a similar way but is not sent to the server with every request. Both are covered by the ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336/2011) and the GDPR, so we treat them the same way here.

2. What We Use

Strictly necessary

The website itself does not set any cookies. The only thing we store is your cookie choice:

• sc-cookie-consent (local storage): records whether you chose "Accept all" or "Essential only" and when, so we do not ask you on every page. It contains no personal data and stays until you clear your browser's site data or change your choice.

This does not need your consent because it exists only to honour the choice you made.

Analytics

We do not currently run any analytics on the website. If we add analytics in future to understand which pages are useful, those cookies will only be set after you choose "Accept all", and this policy will be updated first to name the provider and what is collected.

Third parties

Our pages load the Inter and Instrument Serif typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google Fonts does not set cookies, but your browser does send your IP address to Google to fetch the font files. Google's handling of that request is described in its own privacy policy.

We do not embed advertising, social media widgets or tracking pixels.

3. Your Choices

• On this site: use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page to see the banner again and change your choice.
• In your browser: every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data. Blocking essential storage will not break this website, but we will ask for your cookie choice again on each visit.

4. Changes to This Policy

If we start using new cookies or storage, we will update this page and the "Last Updated" date above, and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
