Why book a photographer through Service Connect
Good photography is one of those things you only really notice the value of afterwards, which makes it worth taking a bit of care choosing who you book. Service Connect lets you describe your event or shoot (the date, the setting, the kind of photos you're after) and hear back from local photographers whose style and experience you can actually check beforehand.
It suits small, personal bookings well: a family or portrait shoot, a birthday or christening, a small business or product shoot, a local event that needs covering. Photographers respond with their availability and a quote, and you can look through their profile and reviews before deciding who's the right fit for what you have in mind.
Once you've agreed the details, booking and payment happen securely through the app, so there's a clear record of what was agreed. If your plans change before the shoot, your whole payment, fee included, is refunded.

Check their profile for their portfolio and reviews from previous customers before you get in touch or book.
How far in advance should I book?
For a set date like a birthday or event, book as early as you can, particularly at busy times of year. Some photographers can also take on shorter-notice bookings, so it's worth asking.
What's included in a quote?
This varies by photographer. Ask about shoot length, number of edited photos, and delivery time through in-app messaging before you book.
Is there a fee to get quotes?
No, posting your job and comparing quotes is free. Service Connect adds a small buyer protection fee when you book, shown before you confirm, and the whole payment is refunded if the booking is cancelled before work starts.
