It covers craft as much as gifting. Calligraphy for invitations, embroidery on a jacket, a custom portrait, or a one-off piece of art for your own home. Post it the same way and compare makers on their past work, reviews and turnaround time rather than scrolling an anonymous marketplace.
Message a maker through the app to talk through sizing, colours or timing before you commit, and pay securely once you've agreed a price. If your plans change and you cancel before work begins, your whole payment, fee included, is refunded.

How far in advance should I book a custom order?
As early as you can, especially for cakes and busy occasion dates. Check the maker's profile or ask through the app about their current turnaround time.
Can I ask for changes once the maker has started?
Discuss this with your maker through in-app messaging before booking. Some build a revision or two into their price, others charge extra for changes once work is underway.
Is delivery included, or do I collect?
It varies by maker and by item. Check their profile or ask directly before booking, especially for anything fragile like a cake.
Is there a fee just to get quotes?
No. Posting your request and comparing quotes is free. Service Connect adds a small buyer protection fee when you book, shown before you confirm, and the whole payment is refunded if the booking is cancelled before work starts.
