Getting jobs done around Louth

Louth is the smallest county in Ireland, but it packs a lot in: Drogheda on the Boyne, Dundalk near the border, the market town of Ardee, a string of coastal villages from Termonfeckin to Clogherhead and Blackrock, and the hills and harbour of the Cooley Peninsula around Carlingford and Omeath. Distances are short, so the question that matters is usually which town you are in. When you post on Service Connect Ireland you choose your county and area, so the job reaches providers who say they cover that part of Louth.

Drogheda and Dundalk both have older town-centre streets with terraces and period houses, alongside the estates built as the towns grew. Older houses often mean older pipework and wiring and tight access, so mention the age of the house, whether there is on-street parking, and add photos of the problem when you post.

With the M1 and the Dublin–Belfast railway line running through the county, plenty of households have someone commuting, and jobs that fit around a working day come up often. Along the coast, Blackrock, Clogherhead and Carlingford have holiday homes and houses that sit empty for stretches of the year, and salt air and wind are hard on gutters, windows and exterior paint.
